We've designed our courses to be flexible: they can be completed online at your own pace, in your own time, from any UK location. A typical course consisted of 4-6 sections, each made up of bite-sized video clips, text and images that may take approximately 45 minutes to view and read, plus a number of exercises designed to take between 1-2 hours of your own time. If you were to do all exercises in a 6-section course, you could expect to spend around 15-18 hours completing the course.
Our courses have been designed by world-class partners to teach best practice for the different areas of digital business, so even if you have existing skills in a certain area, we'd recommend that you complete the course covering it. If you prefer, you can pick and choose sections of a course, but only those who complete entire courses are eligible to apply for the corresponding rewards and opportunities.
Digital Business Academy courses are being delivered by the UK's top educators, who've invested considerable time in developing materials to give you the best possible online learning experience. Our online courses are for everyone, wherever they are in the UK, and whenever they want to use them, and as such there is no one-to-one tuition.
Our courses are designed to give you the skills to thrive in digital business, but we can't guarantee you a job. We are, however, collaborating with a number of businesses offering potentially career-making opportunities, such as fast track to final interviews for paid internships: you can see a list of those offering this opportunity . Those who complete the required courses can apply for these internship interviews, and our partners will then decide whether to fast track the applicant to interview. Moreover, our collaboration with accelerators around the UK means that those completing the required courses will be able to apply to attend exclusive recruitment events offering opportunities to meet start-ups. These opportunities will be advertised on our site as the dates for these events are confirmed.
Our online courses have been designed to be complementary, and together they cover off the key business skills you'll need in the early part of the lifecycle of a digital business, from sizing up your idea and starting your business, through marketing and branding, all the way to pitching to investors.
While you can take the courses in whatever suits you and your goals, we recommend that you complete all eight courses if you aim to start your own digital business. if you're looking to grow an existing business online, you may wish to focus on courses 3, 6 and 7. And if you'd like to join a growing digital business, all the courses are valuable, especially courses 3 through to 7.
So that you don't miss out on the opportunity to apply for rewards such as free start-up support and paid internships, it's worth checking out their requirements and taking the qualifying courses.
